Delhi Police reach robbery to catch burglars, forget weapons at the station
A group of burglars had taken a senior couple hostage along with their house help. However, one of the servants managed to escape and called the police who reached the spot and said that they have forgotten their weapons at the station and will be back shortly. The thieves managed to escape after 75 minutes but the cops didn't show up. 

UP farmers lock 800 cows in a government school
Farmers in Uttar Pradesh have locked approximately 800 cows inside a government school and a primary health centre in Aligarh. The farmers say that the animals are destroying their crops and they have been spending sleepless nights in the cold weather to keep the attle at bay. Some people thought that the cattle were gathered for slaughter and even filed a complaint against the farmers. 

Mentally challenged girl returns 5 years after she went missing in the Kedarnath flood
5 years ago, Chanchal, a mentally challenged girl was at the Kedarnath Shrine when the flood hit the area. She was separated from her family but was taken in by an NGO who finally managed to track her family. She was sent back to her grandparents in Aligarh after the city legislator helped the NGO find her family. 

Virat Kohli breaks Rahul Dravid's long-standing record
After scoring a half-century in his last match, Virat Kohli has broken Rahul Dravid's long-standing record to become the highest scoring Indian Test batsman on overseas soil in a calendar year. Dravid held the record for scoring 1137 since 2002 and Virat broke the record by scoring 1138 runs.
