Diabetes- One cup of grilled Portobello mushrooms and one cup of stir-fried shitake mushrooms both provide up to 3 grams of fiber. Fiber also benefits the digestive system and reduces the risk of heart disease and metabolic syndrome.

Heart Health- the fiber, vitamin c and potassium in mushrooms benefit in cardiovascular health, the potassium and sodium keep the blood pressure in control.
