Miss T by The Bombay Cartel. Your Next Weekend Visit Is Here.

Ever heard of the Colaba Cartel? What about The Table, Magazine St Kitchen, Woodside Inn, The Pantry and Bombay Vintage, any of these ring a bell? Well, the brains behind the former five restaurant names have come together to form the Colaba Cartel and it’s a big deal.

The two major restaurant groups, The Neighbourhood Hospitality (of Woodside Inn, The Pantry, Bombay Vintage) Pankil Shah, Sumit Gambhir, and Abhishek Honawar, and the Food Matters (of The Table, Magazine St. Kitchen) Gauri Devidayal and Jay Yousuf have come together to give Bombay something exotic.

Quickie

Miss T
is a sexy, grown-up space with food that borrows its essence from the Golden Triangle- Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar plus Vietnam. It focuses on Burmese and Vietnamese cuisine along with a tight menu of intriguing cocktails.

Tell Me More

This was possibly the only restaurant opening that got a podcast of its own. The Colaba Cartel went on air to talk about their journey to Miss T. The restaurant has a very instagramable environment and you'd definitely want people to know if you went there.

Their Bartender, Jeremy Buck, and mixologists, Proof & Co., together make their  ’T’ shaped bar the most interesting thing in the restaurant. They have drinks made of slow-cooked basmati rice reduction, ghost watermelon juice and even lime and milk (how does it occur together and not make paneer? Only Buck knows). And their ice cubes are branded with the restaurant logo!

Bawmra Jap came on-board as a consulting chef alongside Vietnamese chef Duc Tran. The food seems compelling but the portions are slightly smaller than you’d expect, but the flavours and ingredients are fresh

Don’t forget to make reservations. And preferably don’t take your children.

Recommendation: Quixotic, pickled tea leaf salad, Bomras’ Tomato Salad, Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls, Chocolate Dacquoise.
