When you’re hungry and don’t have much cash on you, just catch an auto to Behram Baug (Jogeshwari) and Munna will feed you yummy food.
While I’m still reeling from the brilliance that is Farid Seekh Centre (Read about Farid’s
), sometimes, the heart and the stomach just want more options to pick from.
This little shop has one guy sitting outside with a HUGE tawa, surrounded with all the instantaneous options like cutlets, baida roti, rolls, all in chicken and mutton. There’s seating available inside and a shawarma stand right outside along with a kebab stand. This place is basically like a one-stop-shop for greasy goodness.
I tried their chicken naan sandwich and mutton chops. The naan sandwich has bread with the texture of a naan but the crust of a well made pav. I found it very interesting and light. It was obviously served with the Mumbaiya favourite onion and green chutney. The mutton chops were nice but very heavy, so I would suggest you to take it easy and not order too many.
Munna also serves Chinese, but I can’t vouch for it. If you’re looking for a quick meal at a cheap rate, this would be one of your options.
