Ranbir Kapoor is back to being in the sparkling limelight after the release of Sanju and since his relationship with Alia Bhatt became public. His portrayal of Sanjay Dutt was much appreciated. In an interview with Hindustan Times, he mentioned that he drew inspiration from his own life to enact the trauma and emotion related drug abuse and strained relationships.
No, we’re not saying that Ranbir Kapoor does drugs in real life. He however does drink, just like half of the population of the world. Ranbir Kapoor said, “I don’t have a drinking addiction but yes I have a tendency to drink a lot. When I start, I don’t stop.”. You don’t have to explain anything to us Ranbir. Ranbir believes that drinking is in his blood, since his entire family is fond of alcohol. Isn’t it refreshing when families share a bond where you’re free to drink with your parents. That is yet to happen in India on a larger scale, till then everyone’s just going to take that secret to their graves. So either don't drink or drink safe my strangers.
Getting back to Ranbir’s drinking habits, be assured that he does not drink on the job and only when he’s on a break and with his friends. He is trying to cut down though and his mother, Neetu Kapoor, has been an immensely positive influence in guiding him towards a healthier routine in his life, and it’s working!
I guess what we can take from RK’s life story is that just because you have a bad habit doesn’t mean that you can’t break out of it. And if you do drink make sure you’re safe and in the company of good people.
Enjoy the weekend.
