Don’t you hate it when you’re really enjoying your meal, but all the bread in your taco fills you up too fast and you’re left with two more tacos which will go soggy because you thought you could eat them!
Shell-less tacos are your solution. No, it doesn’t mean dumping the taco stuffing in a bowl, that would be taco salad. It’s replacing the shell with lettuce, kale or spinach shells. They taste good and don’t make you feel too heavy. Taco Bell replaced their taco shells with chicken. I don’t get it, but I’m not complaining.
Shell-less Tacos were said to be a 2018 food trend. I’ve seen it in a couple of restaurants, and I’m not against it. It just feels more Asian than Mexican though.
It is definitely a home-cook friendly trend because washing leaves is way easier than making taco shells (basically, roti). What do you guys think of this 2018 trend?
