As Mumbai turns into a party hub, new places for food and drinks keep popping up. One such place is the newly opened Beirut lounge in Versova. Unlike most places, Beirut has a very middle eastern experience to offer.

As the name suggests, Beirut offers Lebanese food in addition to Asian and north Indian cuisine. The small yet wholesome lounge is right on the Versova beach road and resembles an oasis.

Since we went there for the opening night, the lounge wasn't serving their menu so we had very few options to choose from. It's a bit weird for a Lebanese joint to serve Asian and Indian food, it is completely justifiable as the Bombay crowd is partial to certain dishes like butter chicken or fried rice!

The interiors have been designed to look like an authentic Arabic shamiana like setting. The lighting and seating have been set in a way to make you feel relaxed and unwind. 

The bar has a selection of drinks that you can order from and the bartenders love to surprise their customers with twists in the drinks. The menu is pocket-friendly as a pint of beer costs about 200INR. The music and ambience are also very homely.
