Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got married today in Lake Como Italy. After 4-hour long Konkani-Brahmin wedding ritual, the families had a traditional feast. And as per reports, The caterers hired to cook the menu are bound by a contract that required them to make original dishes that they can't replicate elsewhere.
The Dining area for the wedding was absolutely stunning. The couple went with a floral theme for the dining area as seen in a picture shared by Bollywood photographer Viral Bhayani.
Despite the wedding being in Italy, the menu served there was very traditional. It consisted of authentic Konkani Mangalorean cuisine. Dishes such as Puran Poli and Rassam Bhat were served on a banana leaf. They also had classic south Indian dishes such as Dosas and Appams.
They served a Sindhi menu on the latter half of the wedding. Chefs from Switzerland were flown in to prepare the wedding cake and desserts for the guests. But as per the contract, despite these dishes being traditional, all of them were completely original and were made slightly different than the traditional setting.
Ranveer asking his wedding dishes to never be replicated again is like Shahjahan cutting the hands of the architect who designed the Taj Mahal!
