Dopeadelicz Are About To Release The Most Awaited Rap Music Video Of Mumbai Hip Hop

This song is based on a true incident when rapper Stony Psycho was arrested and thrashed by cops.

One of the oldest and most respected rap groups from Mumbai, Dopedalicz are about to drop one of the most awaited Rap Music Video of the scene.

Titled as Aai Shapath Saheb Me Nhavto (I swear sir it wasn’t me) is a track that aims at showing people what police brutality and ‘dadagiri’ looks like.

The idea for the song came after Tony Sebastian aka Stony Psycho got arrested by the police after a gig he performed at. “As soon as I got done with my gig, I was picked up by rowdy cops who started thrashing me just for the way I was dressed. I was taken to the police station where I was beaten up and interrogated. I had to perform in the station to prove to the cops that I am a rapper.”

Dopeadelicz have always rapped about legalizing weed and how its just an ordinary herb. Their personalities are also shaped according to the theme of their raps and which is why they get a lot of attention from the cops. Sebastian says “Luckily, I didn’t have any weed on me that day which is why I was able to get out scot-free.”

“I was really disturbed after the incident as it was almost traumatic. I remember telling the cops ‘Aai Shapath Saheb Mi Nhavto’ and that is where I got the idea of making the song. I want to show people how the cops don’t listen to innocent people and do whatever they want to just because they have the authority to do anything they want or simply frame us for a crime.” says Sebastian.

The moment he puts out the track, Sebastian plans on tweeting the track to the Mumbai Police. “The Mumbai Police twitter handle has been very active and they give hilarious responses to people. I hope they see my video and react to it. I really want to know what they think.” Says Sebastian.

The trailer for their music video has been shared by almost every influential rapper in the Mumbai circle. The video comes out on the 15th of this month and as of now, there is a lot of chatter about the song as everyone is really excited after listening to a snippet of the track.
