If you like listening to music, you must try listening to a record once, only to understand how great it sounds when it's coming from an analog source. Vinyl seems to be too much of a hassle as a process done to listen to music.
While you can simply whip out a phone or an iPod and simply play any track you want. But for Vinyl, you have to set up a turntable, get an expensive record, and amplifier and finally you can listen to the 8 track disk. However, if you have ever heard music being played from a record, you would understand the kind of Dynamic difference that analog audio sources have.
Sony Music India is giving you this experience at The Vinyl Popup 2019 where you get to check out more than 2500 Vinyl titles by musicians from around the globe. The Vinyl Popup is one of the prettiest festivals that happen in the city and it attracts a large number of audiophiles and music enthusiasts.
The Pop-up store has over 2000 different Vinyl titles from which you can pick one. Now, what makes people spend Rs.3000 on an 8 track Vinyl disk? Ask the hundreds of audiophiles and collectors that come here!
Apart from the pop-up store, the festival has two stages. There’s an amazing lineup of some of the coolest indie singers to keep you grooving: Including Nikhil D’Souza, Mali, Tejas, Aarifah & Ramya Pothuri ending it with an all-star performance & showcase by Kadak Apple records on the Live stage. You can also unwind at their beer garden and pop open a cold one with your gang.
Later in the night, they are hosting a massive dance party where DJ’s Zokhuma (Arman Menzies) & Eng (Kunal Lodhia) spin select records from House, hip hop, 80’s, 90’s, if it makes you dance, come here. You’ll be dancing all night long!
And no festival is complete without music and The Vinyl Pop Up has you covered with a diverse lineup of artists who will be spinning some great music at the venue. The Vinyl Popup 2019 is happening on the 13th of April (Saturday) at Corona Garden in Bandra.
