Finally An Affordable Bar In BKC! Beer at INR 100!

BKC finally has a new affordable bar which is also a co-working space.

Quickie
If you've been looking for an affordable hangout spot in BKC we've found just the place. Butterfly High is BKC's newest addition to it's extensive range of bars and we're going to tell you all that you need to know!

Tell Me More
Located just around the corner of Gateway and Hello Guppy, this new bar has opened in place of what was previously Fish and Bait. Expect a resto bar feel with the entire place being lightly dimmed, wooden decor and colourful paints splashed on the walls. There is an array of seating options from high chairs to sofas and standard dining tables to suit your comfort. Although it's too soon to tell what kind of nights we should be expecting to see here, we definately hope to see nights starting early and going on till late with beers starting from INR 100, and commercial music (on weekends) on till 1am. If you are in the look out for a bar to enjoy a good conversation and affordable food and drinks, we'd definitely suggest checking out Butterfly High but if in the unlikely situation that you don't like the vibe, you're just a doorstep away from an array of other options!

We have a lot of high hopes for their menu especially since its designed by the celebrity chef Rakesh Talwar. Expect an array of interesting dishes like quinoa bhel, jackfruit nachos, ghee roast prawns, coriander pesto bajra pasta, lamb hummus with ghee-rubbed khakhra. To our surprise the prices of the food ranges from INR 200 - 500 which is definalty a price point that works if you're on a budget.

Like many bars, Butterfly High has followed the trend with providing the coworking option however when it comes to comparing it with Social, who we personally feel has nailed this concept, Butterfly High has a lot to work on. The coworking space is confined to a 20 seat capacity which is essentially two tables that are joint together with seats on either side. So for INR 5000 per month (cover included) if you are comfortable working alongside others in a small space then this place could work for you.

What Else
Butterfly High is definitely an upgrade to what was there previously (Fish and Bait) and we are excited to see how Mumbai reacts to this newly opened bar. Since Butterfly High is the brainchild of the owners of Shivsagar and London Taxi and Mahesh Lunch Home we have some very high expectations!

Location: BKC, click for directions.
Cost for 2: INR 1000
Pint of Beer: INR 100
