Google's Santa Tracker Let's You Find Exactly Where Santa Is

Impatiently tapping your feet, awaiting your Christmas gifts? Google's Santa Tracker allows you to map exactly where he is at any point in time.

Impatiently tapping your feet, awaiting your Christmas gifts? Google is here to ease your anxieties. Google's Santa Tracker allows you to map exactly where he is at any point in time. His journey shall apparently begin at 3:30 pm (IST) today, so keep a watch out!

Apart from Google's website (linked above), they've also released an official app specifically for the purpose. This year, you can also edit your location sharing settings on Google Maps to keep a track of the reindeer-sleigh as it delivers gifts to all the good children in the world. Have you been good?

Well, I already know what I want for Christmas, though that seems to be a tough ordeal for even Santa to fulfil.

Santa's Village

The Santa Tracker is not the only feature from Google to celebrate the festivities this year. The website features a range of activities and media to get in the Christmas mood, including an adorable video of the elves at work that you can watch by clicking on the Take Off button (or here.)

The Snowbox and Elf Maker are fun features that let you construct your own winter abode or customise your own little elf, hard at work up North. There are several games for the more fun-oriented ones out there, from Code Lab and Present Drop to Rudolph Racer and Gift Slingshot.

If you're not into admittedly child-oriented content, there's still something for you. The Santa Tracker website also has features such as Traditions and Translations to take you on your own virtual journey across the various countries that celebrated Grandfather Frost, Santa Claus, or the most famous Coca-Cola marketing campaign of all time; however you see it.

My personal favourites are the Elf Jam Band, that allows you to create your own band of elves performing Christmas tunes for a crowd. Makes for a great cheerful alternative for background music while working (I can attest to that.)

Well, why are you still here? I'm having a hard time writing this myself without getting distracted by the festive energy.

Warning: it's really easy to lose track of time, enter Santa's village at your own risk.
