Tinder lets you link your Facebook and Instagram to the app and allows you to choose pictures for your profile from your social media. Grindr requires you to upload a picture which has to be verified by a moderator to make sure that it's not obscene.  Grindr also lets you share pictures a private chat while tinder restricts it.

Bio
While tinder gives you a black space to write your bio and auto-detects your age and job profile, Grindr gives you space to write a bio, select your tribe, height, position, preferences, etc.

Location
Tinder searches for partners in a selected radius of kilometers, But Grindr shows you all nearby profiles. Grindr shows you exactly how many meters the person is away from you and also allows you to share your current location with the person.

Liking someone and initiating a chat
On tinder,  you see a single profile at a time, if you both right swipe on each other, tinder lets you chat with that person. Grindr, however, lets you see a ton of profiles at a time and allows you to directly inbox the person you like. This, however, leads to a lot of unwanted messages and possibly nudes. Grindr also allows you to set a preference of the guys you want to meet.

Time consumed
Sometimes it takes days and even weeks to find you a match. Grindr lets you directly text someone so it takes absolutely no time to find someone on Grindr.
