Despite fears over Covid-19 limits, drone photographs show hundreds of swingers coming to Europe's biggest sex festival.
On Friday, July 2nd, the Swingathon, swingers party, began near Grantham, Lincolnshire, which was almost canceled earlier this week. According to an individual who attended the event, around 400 tickets were sold. The four-day frolic costs £200 per couple and includes an adult bouncy castle, wet t-shirt contests, and a mobile dungeon.
"The council is continuing to engage with event organizers to build their preparations and ensure they are complying with up to date limits imposed by Covid-19," a council spokesperson said. "So long as the event is conducted within the restrictions of the Temporary Event Notice in place, and in a lawful manner, there is nothing more for the Council to do in respect of this event."
What is the party about?
Guests can stay in four-person luxury yurts and enjoy hot pools, a naked vocalist, fetish demos like BDSM demo, and a Miss and Mister Swingathon 2021 competition.
There will also be a sweet bar, an outdoor movie, and clay pigeon shooting, according to the Swingathon website.
Face painting, burlesque, cigar bars, a naked singer, and a Linkin Park tribute band are among the other attractions available at the adult-only encampment.
Covid 19 Restrictions
Due to eased Covid limitations, the event can take place.
The number of persons who can attend an event is determined by how many guests a location can safely accommodate, according to the most recent government guidance.
Face coverings, social distancing, table service, must all be observed, regardless of the type of setting.
According to one guest, security personnel is heavily patrolling the event, which is located in fields off the A52.
"There aren't enough loos and washing facilities, and there's no social distancing,"a guest at the party stated.
Guests must take a lateral flow test hidden in fields off the A52, 48 hours before the event.
Guests were only informed of the event's location after purchasing tickets, and they were only permitted to leave in an emergency.
"I don't have to tell you anything," a man who answered the phone at the event website's number informed a reporter.
Rules at the festival
Swingers from all across the UK and beyond will descend on the location in Malvern, Worcestershire, for a few days of bawdy entertainment and passionate activities. Guests must agree to a tight set of terms and follow the festival's privacy restrictions, which includes not using their phones within the venue. Unlike most other festivals, however, these different-colored wristbands here reveal a person's sexual preference to others.
Attendees may be surprised to learn that the venue has a dress code in place. "Although the dress code will be very relaxed we will expect bottom halves at least to be covered whilst in the festival arena," the organizers said.
Following a policy change in 2015, there has been a crackdown on the usage of cellphones." To avoid any invasion of privacy, we ask that NO PHONES be used in any way in the festival area," the organizers said. "You are only allowed to use phones in the privacy of your own tents." Any phones found outside of the auto parking area will be confiscated until you depart."
A single man is welcome to attend the festival, but they will need some luck to get in. Unattached males receive only 10% of the tickets.
It is not an adult gathering or a sex club. There can be no sexual services or entertainment provided, and anyone who breaks this regulation will be dismissed immediately.
The festival is not open to the public and is a private camping club.
