Russia To Roll Out Its First Approved COVD-19 Drug

In a move that will help ease strains on the health system, Russia plans to give its first approved drug to treat COVID-19 patients from next week.

The antiviral drug, which is registered under the name Avifavir will be given to patients from June 11.  The company manufacturing the drug aims to supply doses that will be enough to treat around 60,000 people a month.
