Kentucky Fried Chicken is close to our heart and perpetual lovers of this crispy fried deliciousness will get to experience what it's like to make their own chicken. The fast-food joint KFC has launched a program where they will let people in their kitchen to get a hands-on experience on how their kitchen functions.
But like all good things, This program is currently going to be launched only in the UK. Around 300 outlets across the UK will let people into their kitchens. And the tickets for this program cost just about 5 pounds!
People who will attend the program will be given tasks like hand breading chicken, frying it and building their own KFC burger. The program aims at bringing people closer to their food in an interactive way.
But the part that we love most about this campaign is that all the ticketing money will go to the KFC foundation which supports a number of local charities working with developing and nurturing young people.
The Chief operations officer at KFC UK said, "We're really proud of the food we serve, and of all the care that goes into making our chicken taste as incredible as it does. We want to welcome everyone in to give them the chance to see what makes it so finger-lickin' good and invite them to try keeping pace with our amazing team members. We can't wait to show the nation how it's done.”
If the program does well in the UK, the fast food giant may soon launch it in countries where KFC consumption is high like South Korea, America, and even India! In India however, you can walk into your nearest KFC outlet and ask them for an open kitchen tour! While they won’t let you handle equipment or cook, you will get an extensive tour of the kitchen and how the team functions.
