Kingfisher Launches An Indian Pale Ale In UK For Mallya!!

Kingfisher in collaboration with Freedom Brewery (UK based brewery) has come up with a new Pale Ale for Indian taste buds.

Haha!! Just Kidding! Kingfisher has launched a new Pale Ale but there are no news it's related to Vijay Mallya.

Kingfisher in collaboration with Freedom Brewery (UK based brewery) has come up with a new Pale Ale for Indian taste buds. The marketing head of Kingfisher Beer Europe, John Price said “Consumer habits are constantly evolving and the UK’s 7,000 licenced Indian restaurants need to offer choice and variety to meet these needs. Whilst the majority of consumers are still looking for a cool, crisp lager to match with their madras, there are many people now looking for a more flavourful beer to complement their korma.  Kingfisher beer is available in nine out of ten Indian restaurants and we are well placed to establish a craft brand within this important trade sector.”

The Bombay Bicycle which is what the new lager is named is of a citrusy and a tropical fruity flavour with a sort of bitterness to it. The idea behind the bitterness is so that it enhances the hot and spicy flavours of Indian food.

Kingfisher has claimed that the trade’s reaction has been hugely positive. And kingfisher has taken inputs from several Indian chefs as a part of their preparation process and in this mix is also the famous celebrity chef Dipna Anand. She said “I am very proud to have helped Kingfisher to develop this excellent beer and I look forward to supporting the launch plans.”

Kingfisher says the Bombay Bicycle IPA is set to launch in July 2018 and will initially be exclusively available only in the Indian restaurants of the UK market.

We’re really excited to know how it tastes and a feedback from Indians who are settled in UK. Hopefully it’ll soon make its way to the Indian markets as well!! *fingers crossed*
