The Indian Hip Hop scene is at an all-time high, especially after the release of the movie Gully Boy. While the movie gives us quite an insight into the scene, it barely scrapes on what is actually happening in the streets of Mumbai. As Hip Hop is my favorite Genre, I decided to dig a bit deeper into the Music scene and explore the dark heart of Indian Hip Hop. After almost three weeks of regular interaction with the people from this community, I have a newfound respect for some of these guys. We listed some of the people from the Indian Hip Hop scene who we feel are the torchbearers of this scene.

DJ Proof
DJ proof has single-handedly changed the midweek party scene in Mumbai with his boom box Wednesdays. If there is one thing this guy knows, then that is how to throw epic Hip Hop parties! While he helms Boom Box Wednesdays, he is constantly scouting artists that he can feature on Boombox Wednesdays. While he is really smooth on the DJ console, he is also creating a platform for homegrown as well as international artists to reach out to the Indian Audience.
