"I know these little sacks of fat excite men in the most sexual ways - " Araadhya said, pointing to her boobs, "- but it's like why? Why the fat on my chest and not on my stomach? It's all the same. The sexualization of boobs has had a rather strong uprising, from sexy cleavages to nipple orgasms.

We spoke to some men and women about the purpose their breasts or nipples serve and they were more than happy to share.

Do You Think Breasts Are An Important Part Of Sexual Pleasure?

"I'm the kind of person who just goes with the flow in bed. I don't particularly feel like breasts are sexual organs, but what excites me is that the person I'm with is enjoying it. So if my partner has a thing for boobs, I don't have a problem." Joya, 21 said.

Most women seem to agree with Joya's idea, they enjoy breast or nipple stimulation because their partner is into it.

"I don't know if this is universal, but my nipples are very sensitive. For me, nipple play turns me on. I love the feeling, its similar to clitoral stimulation." Ria, 27 told us.

"I feel like men enjoy the feeling of holding something soft and squishy. It's like a stress ball. And the way breasts look is so appealing for some reason, they emit a sexual energy." Pranav 24, laughed.

"But that aside, I think its the sense of being in charge that makes it more appealing. Holding onto something and hearing the moans and gasps for air, that's the sexual aspect of it." he finished.

Though breasts are largely associated with women, men also seem to enjoy an occasional nipple play session.

"I think it's a great build-up, plus male nipples are untouched, so they are more sensitive. I enjoy nipple play sometimes, it switches up things - makes it more exciting. I also think that a lot of men feel shy or "feminine" if they embrace that part of sexual pleasure. But, it is just as exciting. Though only nipple play alone is a turn-off, it can be fun if it's done every now and then." Nikhil, 25 said.

Why Do Men Enjoy Breast or Nipple Simulation?

"It's so much fun. I think that's it, imagine holding two soft balls when everything else in your life is stressful. It sounds like fun, doesn't it? There is also the added advantage that the soft balls are attached to a person who's enjoying it." Pranav, 24 said with a smile.

"I think it's like any other sexual activity, if the woman is enjoying it, then so am I. It works both ways. I love nipple play, it's a lot of fun. I like seeing my partner moaning when I do it, it gives me a sense of dominance." Prateek, 21 said.

Though most men we spoke to simply stated that breast or nipple stimulation is fun, some studies gave us a better, clearer answer.

Nipple stimulation enhances sexual arousal in a great majority of women, and it activates the same brain areas as vaginal and clitoral stimulation.

When a woman's nipples are stimulated during breastfeeding, the neurochemical oxytocin, otherwise known as the "love drug," floods her brain, helping to focus her attention and affection on her baby. But research over the past few years has shown that in humans, this feeling isn't reserved exclusively for infants.

So basically, men can make themselves more desirable by stimulating a woman's breasts during foreplay and sex.

The argument for whether breasts are sexual organs is always going to be half and half. Research work shows different ideas and reasons for why we enjoy breast or nipple stimulation, but what we can be clear about is that sex is fun and so is nipple stimulation!
