#MillennialsSpeak On Why Sex Is Better With The Lights On

There's no scientific way to understand why, so we asked some millennials why they think sex is better with the lights on.

Some people prefer keeping the lights off during sex while others keep the lights on, but which is better? There's no scientific way to understand that because the topic is so subjective. But keeping the lights on has largely been a common poll choice, so we asked some millennials why they think sex is better with the lights on -

Why Is Sex Better With The Lights On?

"It feels like you accept each others bodies however they are. You also know if you're doing it right or wrong because you can see the other persons gesture and facial expressions. Also the fruitfulness of being able to see them enjoy what you're doing is the best. It's so much better also because you don't end up reaching in the dark, quite literally and messing things up." Pranav, 27, Engineer.

"It feels more vulnerable, you're strip naked and so is the other person. It's intimate, it's real and it's fun. There's this element of - "I want to see your orgasm face" or "I want to see how your body moves", it feels natural. With the lights off its uncomfortable and very awkward because you literally can't see anything." Jai, 24, Child Psychologist.

"I love eye contact during sex, it feels intimate. And seeing each other naked is just the added benefit. Without all that sex feels dry, boring almost. I used to switch off the lights before because I didn't like the way my body looked, but now I don't care. I want to see my partner when he likes what I do, or when he orgasms, it's a huge turn on." Shrishti, 28, Artist.

"I get turned on looking at my girlfriend enjoying what we're doing. It turns me on when I can see her body, I can see her expressions, I can make eye contact with her. With the lights off it feels like a chore to have sex, unless the lights are already switched off, in which case it's fine. But when the lights are on there's more passion, more turn ons. Everything is better." Yash, 25, CA.

"Visual stimulation is everything. Who doesn't want to see their man or woman moan in pleasure? Or make eye contact while going down on each other? What do you do when the lights are off? Get sweaty, mechanical sex and sleep? It just feels very uncomfortable and boring. I have done it twice and I'll admit it wasn't the worst thing ever, but it's so much better with the lights on." Drishti, 26, Photographer.
