Delhi's Signature bridge now open to public

The signature Bridge over the Yamuna river has been inaugurated this Sunday. The bridge is a brand new tourist attraction for the city and is twice the size of the Qutub Minar.

 

ASI bans daily Namaz in Taj Mahal mosque

The archaeological survey of India has banned Muslim devotees from offering namaz at the mosque in the Taj Mahal premises on all days. The local residents will, however, be allowed to offer prayers on Fridays as the Taj is closed for public on Friday.

 

Sabarimala temple turns into a fortress!

The Sabarimala temple will open its gates again this evening after weeks of protests by a number of political parties. The LDF government has deployed around 2300 police officials including commandos to ensure that female devotees get a safe passage to the temple. Around 50 policewomen aged over 50 years will be stationed near the temple as well.

 

Court orders FIR against Raveena Tandon

The court has directed the police to lodge an FIR against actress Raveena Tandon and two others for allegedly causing disruption of road traffic during her visit to Bihar. The initial complaint was made by an advocate who claims that he was stuck in traffic for a long time because of her event.
