Hotels, bars and pubs can host Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties till 5 am in Mumbai, said a notification by Maharashtra government.

Gone are the days where you need to stop the party because of the time. Mumbai can now party all night. This Christmas and New Year’s eve restaurants and lounges can allow guests to party till 5 am. The notification was issued on Thursday by the state home department, in consultation with the excise department. The move aims to make Mumbai a great tourist destination. “It’s the time of the year when everyone wants to have a good time, so we allowed this timing extension. It also helps promote Mumbai as a tourist destination,” a government official, as reported by Times of India. The music can be on till 5 am. No more Mumbaikars will have to leave early and have the after party at homes. Mumbai is all set for the best holiday season.





What Else
The permission has been granted by the government, but Mumbai Police has yet to confirm it in their statement. We look forward to their positive comments on the same.
