Supreme Court To Decide On Maharashtra Floor Test Today

The three-party alliance has demanded a floor test for the newly formed Fadnavis-Pawar government in their petition in the Supreme Court and also in their letter to Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Now, all eyes are on the Supreme Court, which will rule when a floor test will be carried out in Maharashtra for BJP's Fadnavis to prove that he enjoys majority support in the House. On Sunday, the apex court heard arguments from the parties in an expansive 80-minute hearing. The Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress sought an urgent floor test in Maharashtra. The Supreme Court then adjourned the matter until 10:30 am Tuesday when, it said, it will pass orders on the pleas seeking an urgent floor test in Maharashtra.
