Rare Earth Organic Cafe, Khar West

Being the first cafe ever to go vegan in Mumbai, they didn't fall short to cater to their vegan audience. Not only do they serve the best vegan food, but they also have a store where you can pick up vegan supplies - including makeup and other general store products. From soya meat to vegan pizza's, the cafe has it all. It also has an outdoor seating area which has occasional cat visitors. It's a go-to if you're a vegan.

The cafe has been known to the healthiest of eaters because of the variety of healthy eating options it presents to consumers. But as healthy as it is on it's own, it also provides a sperate keto menu that has mouth-watering options like - a range of breakfast dishes, special Keto pizzas ( made with cauliflower ) and a lot of meals like the Cottage Cheese Steak or the Zucchini Zoodles. You can end a meal with any of their keto beverages or desserts and they also retail special Keto Bread made with almond flour. It's the place to be if you want to find some yummy keto food.

This adorable cafe tucked away in Andheri serves up some hearty and healthy meals but if you are a keto diet their special menu is a blessing. Their Keto menu has been specifically designed by a nutritionist and each dish has a breakdown of all the macros in it. The menu includes a range of interesting dishes. Their burgers are made with buns specially made of almond flour. Their range of keto desserts is a delight for people on the diet still craving a treat. Of course, they are all sugarless and made keeping in mind what is and is not allowed on the ketogenic diet - but if you crave a dessert, peep into the menu and get your hands on some.

This is a cafe with a plush indoor seating area as well as an amazing open rooftop garden. With homegrown herbs, micro-greens and leafy plants adorning its vertical garden, reducing its carbon footprint drastically. Candy & Green is among the very few eateries to use zero-carbon produce. It is a ‘vegetarian-only’ restaurant serving Asian, Italian and Continental food. They can veganise many dishes out of which the Turkish kebab wraps, beetroot sliders and hummus with pita bread stand out. They also have clearly marked dishes such as vegan Panzanella omelette, vegan meatball sub and something called the "no more depresso mousse."

Range: INR 2,000 for two people.

Earthlings' Cafe, Andheri

This cafe is probably the cheapest one of the lot. And this cafe is entirely vegan - from pizzas to nuggets and they either have dairy-free ingredients or dairy which is in-house. They have tons of options with mock meat including burger with mock chicken patty and crispy mock meat nuggets.  It's a cosy little spot, and the food is very well-reviewed.

Range: INR 600 for two people.

The Pantry, Fort

Kalaghoda's favourite cafe and a coffee house has a brand new Keto menu and it's been extremely well received. The menu at The Pantry has always had a healthy bend to it with organic wholesome ingredients. The food is healthier than most cafes but with the addition of the new Keto menu, people are even happier. The Keto Benedict with Avocado Bacon and an Almond Flour Muffin is excellent but even their guilt-free pizzas which are all made with cauliflower, the main bowls and Keto Cheesecake are all fantastic.
