The diner is designed as a tribute to the global chain’s Swedish restaurants, some of which have beehives on their roof.

As bees are responsible for pollinating about three-quarters of the plants in our ecosystem, McDonald's decided to give a tribute to them as they contribute to their work.

Bees are really crucial to our environment. And their population has gone drastically. Einstein predicted that if bees go extinct, humans will go extinct approximately four years after that. And it's really scary how much we are dependent on bees. Personally, we think that this restaurant is really cute.

While McDonald's has always dismissed questions about how environment-friendly their restaurants are or the living conditions of the animals they use for their food, its good to see that they are woke enough to send out a message of bee conservation.
