Things You Can Do This NYE Instead Of Just Watching Netflix!

If you haven't got any plans, then let's shake on it because I don't have plans either. But, here's some things that you can do even last minute!

New Year's is right around the corner, and the sheer pressure of making plans can get extremely difficult if you still have no idea of what you're going to be doing. And there's always the pressure of the evening being perfect so that the rest of the year is also perfect.

If you haven't got any plans, then let's shake on it because I don't have plans either. But, here's some things that you can do, even last minute to save the day and not feel all that "meh" about 2020. So if you're in Mumbai and open to ideas, start taking notes!

1. Watch The Fireworks At Marine Drive

As much as it sucks that firecrackers are still largely being used, here's how you can contribute - watch them instead of lighting them. New Years from the perspective of Marine Drive is beautiful, it's the best spot to see the city light up some fireworks and thanks to the cool weather we're having, also comfortable to watch. Grab some boost, get together your family or friends and talk the night away. What better than spending New Years with the ones you love and a few fireworks?

Cost: Free (that's just a bonus, huh?)

2. Stargazing At Sanjay Gandhi National Park

If you're not up for the same old New Years routine - drink, party, get hungover - then this is an interesting pick for you. Mumbai can get tiring with all the traffic, noise and pollution - here's a night of silence, stars and calm. Sanjay Gandhi National Park has an overnight camping trip where you can stay in cozy tents, get comfortable near a campfire, share stories and be at peace with your thoughts. Given that the camping starts from 5 PM, you can use the earlier half of the day exploring their Lion/Tiger Safari or explore the ancient Buddhist caves at Kanheri, which give people a stunning overview of the city. Here's one for all the adventurous kids out there - a midnight cycling tour of South Mumbai. There are about 10 pit stops, and so many new friends to make! The tour starts off at Colaba and moves from Gateway of India to Worli Sea Face. The empty streets, calm waves and pin drop silence will make you fall in love with Mumbai all over again. 4. A Pub Crawl Of South Bombay

Party animals, here's a chance to finally strike off all the pubs from your bucket list for really cheap. You start from the Colaba Social at about 7 PM and hit various pubs of the area, and conclude the trip at Havana Café & Bar at around 10 PM.  In these three hours, you'll get access to all the clubs entailed for free and you also get free shots on entry. There will also be an ice breaker, games, and a whole lot of dancing.
