Politicians in India can be really funny at some point. While they innocently believe in something, the mockery begins when they say it out aloud. Most of which happens because a lot of Indian influencers are still stuck on their 'Bharatiya Sanskriti' and refuse to acknowledge the existence of science and technology.
But when you bring up science and technology in front of a Bhakt, they also know how to 'prove' that all modern science is based on centuries-old Indian scriptures. Yes, the Hanuman Chalisa tells you the exact distance from the earth to the sun but that doesn't really mean that Hanuman existed and measured the distance.
The main difference between us and Bhakts is that we understand that religion and religious scriptures are nothing but things that people believe in and there is no evidence or proof that is convincing enough to make us believe that all of this really did happen. While we talk about the Big Bang, Bhakts chose to believe that Bhrama created the universe.
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut recently came out and put forth a demand suggesting all poultry products like egg and chicken meat, be classified as vegetarian. The Rajya Sabha MP made this demand in the upper house during a discussion on the benefits of Ayurveda!
The senior parliamentarian reportedly said that the ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy (AYUSH) should take a call on whether Chicken is a vegetarian or non-vegetarian food.
"Once I had gone to a small hamlet in Nandurbar region. The Adivasi people came and served us food. When I ask them what was it, they said it was an ayurvedic chicken. They also said that they take care of it in such a way that after (eating) you will get rid of all illness," he was quoted to as saying by Mumbai Mirror.
Raut went on to stress on the fact that researchers have claimed that the chicken giving ayurvedic eggs are fed only ayurvedic food so they can also be consumed by vegetarians.
It didn't take long before the people of the interwebs read about his claims and started trolling him. A lot of people requested him to classify beef and goat meat as vegetarian as well as even cows and goats can be raised on an ayurvedic diet.
While people cant fixate their mind on whether lab-grown meat can be considered as vegetarian, Raut wants you to be okay with a leg piece in your veg biryani! We think that any sort of food that is coming off an animal, be it meat, eggs or even Poop(Civet Monkey coffee) it should be considered non-vegetarian!
