A unique campaign has made its way on OnlyFans. Started by the workers in the UK adult industry, the #WankAsThanks campaign aims to raise money to support the NHS against coronavirus.

What is #WankAsThanks?

It is essentially a campaign where adult performers offer healthcare workers free access to their subscription pages on adult sites like OnlyFans.

The campaign was started by Alexxa Vice, a UK based sex worker who initially started by offering free access to her OnlyFans page to NHS performers.

She told Dazed “I started offering free access to my page for NHS workers, and loads of performers got behind the idea, giving access to their own pages using the hashtag #WanksAsThanks,”

After the page got traction, she joined hands with other performers and started a dedicated WanksAsThanks page where everyone could donate content. The page now has over 100 sign-ups and features in the top 20 per cent of OnlyFans. It consists of a variety of content, from lesbian content, mainstream, fetish etc.

How Does It Work?

For access to the daily content uploads, you could simply sign up for $5 a month. This could be your little way of contributing to the NHS coronavirus appeal, as all proceeds from the account will go there.

Another good news is that NHS workers can access the content for free. The fundraiser has become a big hit amongst NHS workers with Alexxa saying she’s receiving messages of thanks from workers who “are grateful to relax at the end of what I can only imagine is a very hard day”.

“We know our contribution is minuscule in comparisons to the sacrifices being made by those working for the NHS,” Alexxa says, “but it has been amazing to see the support from all areas of the industry and being able to give back what we can.”

What started as a morale-boosting activity for NHS workers by adult performers has now snowballed into a full-fledged fundraising campaign.

The campaign is gaining popularity daily and has raised more than $250. Given that subscriptions on the page can be renewed monthly and new content is ever-present on the page, it is expected that donation collection will only grow further.
